I am a self taught crocheter, my Mom and my Great Aunt Grace both tried to teach me but gave up, in frustration. I am not a traditional crocheter as I hold my hands and thread differently than other crochters, thus the frustration of my aunt and mom in trying to teach me. I was able to find a good book and taught myself in my own way. So, I have crocheted since I was a teenager, I took a break from it while I raised 4 kids, 2 boys and balls of yarn were a recipe for disaster!
Our great nephew was born at less than 2 pounds and needed hats, booties, tiny afghans, so his "Tia Gracie" got back to crocheting! I made tiny tennis ball size hats and 12 inch afghans so he would be warm and stylish. I continue to make the tiny hats and send them to a group who distribute them to preemies in need of them. Now I crochet lots of things for my grandkids, great nieces, great nephews, and their parents . All of the items I make are tried and tested patterns, I make the first one of most patterns for one of my children, grandkids, nieces, or nephews. Crocheting one of a kind items is not just a phrase , it is a true statement because everyone who picks up a hook does things their own way with their own sense of color combination and style.
Having an etsy shop is a great way for me to continue creating for the people I love and sell quality creations to my customers.
I am a transplanted Texan, I was born and raised in Southern Ohio and Kentucky but have made Texas my home for over 38 years.
All of my items are made in a smoke free, pet free home.
